Guar gum buyer questions.

Which guar gum grade is used for oil drilling and fracking?

Industrial & oil drilling grade powder (5,000 to 7,500+ cps, 200 mesh) for drilling and high-viscosity applications, and the fast hydration / diesel slurry grade where 80% to 90% of peak viscosity is needed within 3 to 5 minutes in cold water.

What is the difference between guar splits, guar meal and guar gum powder?

The guar seed is dehusked and split: the endosperm halves are the refined guar splits (90% to 95% purity), which are hydrated, flaked and milled into guar gum powder. The husk and germ that are separated become guar meal (korma / churi), a 45% to 55% protein animal-feed ingredient.

Can you supply a custom viscosity or mesh size?

Yes. Beyond the standard grades we can mill to specific mesh sizes and target viscosity ranges, for example 4,000 to 8,000 cps. Share your specification in the RFQ form and we will confirm the matching grade.

How is guar gum packed for export?

25 kg multi-wall paper or woven HDPE bags with an inner LDPE liner, or 500 kg to 1,000 kg FIBC jumbo bags, on ISPM-15 fumigated pallets. A 20ft FCL takes about 18 to 20 MT palletized or about 22 MT loose.

Do you provide a COA and third-party inspection?

Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis and a sealed retention sample is kept. On request we arrange pre-shipment sampling and testing by SGS, Intertek or Geo-Chem at the port of loading.

What is the HS code for guar gum powder exported from India?

Treated and pulverised guar gum powder is classified under HS 1302 32 30. Refined guar splits fall under 1302 32 20 and guar meal under 1302 32 10.
